Purikura!

Purikura are Japanese photobooths. You take pictures and then you decorate them than you get a sheet of sticker/pictures that you can do stuff with... I don't know what. But anyways Japanese girls take MILLIONS OF PURIKURA! not even kidding, everygirl has a thick huge notebook filled with them and they can fill up a page or more in a month!!! It's crazy. I think right now I've taken purikura like maybe 10 times at the most. Probably not even that much anyways, here is what it looks like.

Japanese Culture

Since they're are like a million and half exchange kids at my school right now doing the 6 week summer exchange program my japanese teacher arranged extra little events. We did a day were we did some traditonal japanese things, like oragami/tea ceremony, all that good stuff. Anyways here are some pictures.

RAJIO TAISO!!!!

It's summer vacation now in Japan, as of today which means it is time for RAJIO TAISO!!!! Rajio taiso is radio exercises, basiccly elementry school kids and old people get up really early in the morning at around 6 and get to the park by 6:30, so all these people are down at the park at 6:30 in the morning and they play a program on the radio for like 10 minutes you do these exercise things, then you get your card stamped and go home. They have done this in Japan for like ever, since they've had radio I guess and I think the programm they use is still the same one. I'm not really sure of the point but I think it's something so that you continue to get up early in the mornings while it's summer vacation for kids so you don't sleep till noon everday, anyways i came home and slept... >.>

Embarrassing Moment

So... I have an embarrassing story to share.

I was riding my bike home from school the other day, like I do everyday. Then I saw this kid he was probably 7 or 8 and he was looking at me like I was an alien.

(I'm familiar with this look I get it often here since Japan is like 95% Japanese people. 5% other. It's funny to think about because in America there is such a large mixture of everyone. Anyway.)

He was staring at me for a few seconds and then I guess to test wither I spoke Japanese or not said "Konnichiwa" This kind of shocked me but I turned my head around and responded "Konnichiwa" but... because I wasn't paying attention to where I was driving my bike I ran right into a pole... pretty hard...funny...now...

Can you shoot webs?

So, something really funny just happened and I was online anyways so I thought I would type it out.

Me and my host brother were sitting on my bed and I was using my computer looking at pictures of my friends and then there was this one picture of my friend, Micheal, wearing a spider man mask and my host brother was like "SPIDERMAN".
"Yea, it's my friend." I replied
"Can he shoot webs out of his hands?"
"Of course."
"Can you shoot webs out of your hands."
"Yea! Can You?"
"No..."
"Why not?"
"I'm Japanese, not American..."

I started laughing sooo hard. Oh and if anyone is wondering the conversation actually took place in Japanese not English...
